Choosing care

Check-ins or overnight care: which fits your pet’s routine?

Check-ins are scheduled visits for pets whose feeding, walks, potty breaks, medication reminders, and attention can be handled during visits. Overnight care adds an in-home nighttime presence for pets whose sleep routine, behavior, comfort, or care needs benefit from someone staying nearby.

Check-ins may fit when

  • Your pet is normally comfortable between scheduled visits.
  • The needed routine can be completed during clear visit windows.
  • There is no nighttime care or home-presence requirement.

Overnight care may fit when

  • Your pet benefits from a person staying in the home overnight.
  • Nighttime feeding, medication, potty, sleep, or comfort routines matter.
  • A familiar home environment is preferable to boarding.

The meet-and-greet is the right time to discuss expected arrival, time away from the home, nighttime routines, behavior, and whether the requested service is a reliable fit.
