Meet-and-greet guide

Use the first meeting to make care expectations clear.

A useful pet-sitter meet-and-greet should cover the pet’s normal routine, behavior and handling limits, medication or medical information, home access, emergency contacts, supplies, communication expectations, and the exact responsibilities included in the requested service.

Questions to review together

  • What does a normal morning, meal, walk, potty, play, and bedtime routine look like?
  • What causes fear, stress, guarding, reactivity, hiding, or escape attempts?
  • How should home access work, and are there cameras, alarms, gates, or restricted areas?
  • Who should be contacted first if the owner cannot be reached?
  • What updates are most helpful while the owner is away?
  • What arrival windows, time away, and overnight expectations apply?

Approval protects both sides

The first meeting is not a pressure-filled sales appointment. It is a chance for Ryan and the owner to decide whether the requested care can be provided safely and reliably. Pending dates remain held according to the published booking process while that decision is unresolved.
