How can I feel comfortable giving someone access to my home?

Ryan’s Petsitting is owner-operated, so the person you meet is the person responsible for your pet’s care. Every first-time client completes a meet-and-greet before care is approved. That visit is used to review home access, routines, boundaries, pet behavior, safety concerns, and whether the arrangement feels right for everyone.

What happens if my pet becomes sick or there is an emergency?

Owners save current contact information, emergency contacts, pet details, medication information, and care instructions in their private account before the booking. Ryan uses those details to coordinate care and contact the owner or listed emergency contact if something comes up. Medical conditions and emergency expectations should be discussed during the meet-and-greet.

Will I receive updates while I am away?

Yes. Clear communication and thoughtful updates are part of the service. During an active booking, Ryan can post care updates to the owner’s private dashboard so the owner can follow what is happening without making pet or home information public.

Will my pet be left alone, and what does an overnight stay include?

Overnight care means Ryan stays in the client’s home so the pet can keep a familiar home and sleep routine; it is not boarding at Ryan’s home. Check-ins are separate in-home visits. Because every pet and schedule is different, expected arrival times, time away from the home, feeding, walks, and nighttime needs are reviewed before the booking is approved.

Can you care for medications, special routines, or pets with behavior concerns?

Owners can provide medication details, routines, triggers, reactivity, bite history, escape risks, and other safety information through the booking system. Ryan reviews those needs during the meet-and-greet and may approve or decline care based on safety, fit, and whether the requested routine can be followed reliably. Full disclosure is required before care begins.

What protects my dates and payment if plans change?

The booking form shows the estimate and terms before secure payment. After a first-time client pays the deposit, pending meet-and-greet dates are blocked from overlapping bookings while approval is unresolved. Deposits, remaining balances, cancellations, refunds, and timing are governed by the published booking policy, which owners can review before submitting payment.
