In-home check-ins

Pet check-ins for lighter routines that still need dependable care.

Ryan provides $25 in-home pet check-ins for owners who do not need overnight care, but still want their pets fed, walked, checked on, and cared for by one familiar local person. Owners can choose the number of check-in days and visits per day during booking.

What happens during a check-in?

Check-ins are focused visits at your home. They are best for pets who are comfortable between visits and do not need someone staying overnight.

  • Food and waterMeals, water refreshes, and bowls follow the routine saved in your owner profile.
  • Potty, walks, or litterRyan follows the visit instructions for dogs, cats, or multi-pet homes.
  • Medication remindersMedication can be handled when clear instructions are saved and reviewed before care.
  • Attention and home checkVisits include calm interaction, basic household awareness, and anything agreed on before care.

How many visits can I choose?

The booking form lets owners select how many check-in days they need and how many check-ins per day. Each check-in is currently $25, so a two-day request with three visits per day calculates as six total visits.

The live booking estimate is always the final source of truth before payment.

How updates work

During active care, updates can be posted to the private owner dashboard so you can see how things are going without making pet or home details public. Update expectations, timing, photos, and preferred communication should be discussed during the meet-and-greet.

  • Typical updates can include feeding, potty/walk notes, medication confirmation, behavior, and general comfort.
  • Urgent issues are handled directly using the contact and emergency information saved in the owner profile.
  • If you want a specific update rhythm, add it to your booking notes or bring it up during the meet-and-greet.

Who are check-ins best for?

Check-ins can suit cats, dogs with simple visit needs, senior pets with predictable routines, and households that need several shorter visits instead of overnight presence. Ryan may recommend overnight care instead if the pet's routine, safety, anxiety, medication, or nighttime needs call for more support.
